The picturesque seneries of lakes and snow capped peaks within the beautiful fertile valleys of the eastern Tibet extend the way further to the west to holy Lhasa city, couple of days visit to the world heritages and mystical temples within the city will end the trip with full of astonishment and appreciation. 12 Days -Lijiang- Zhongdain-Deqin-Markham-Rawok lake- Pomi- Bayi- Draksum lake- Lhasa

Day 01: Lijiang -Zhongdain

Our guide and driver will come to pick you up one day before your trip and meet you at the hotel. Morning drive from Lijiang to Zhongdian, before arriving at Zhongdian, drive to visit the First Bend on the Yangtze River with imposing gorge scenery and the deepest gorge in the world – Tiger Leaping Gorge(Middle part). In the afternoon visit Sangzanlin Temple in Zhongdian and in the evening you can visit Zhongdian old town. Overnight at Zhongdian.

Day 02: Zhongdain-Deqin-Feilaisi

Early morning drive from Zhongdian to Deqin, it takes about 5 to 6 hours, along the way with beautiful landscapes. In the afternoon, see the holy mountain (TibKawa Kharpo)(Meili)(6740m) from the view platform. explore small town and enjoy view of Mt Kawa Kharpo  Overnight at Feilaisi.

Day 03: Feilaisi-Markham

Morning drive to Markham. Go on northwards along the Lang cang jiang river valley, the upper reaches of Mekong River. Pass the border between Tibet and Yunnan at Yanjing, arrive at Markham after another 111km and meet with the Sichuan-Tibet Southern route.  Evening walk around the Markham town and it’s one of the main town in Markham area.  Overnight at Markham.

Day 04: Markham-Dzogong

Cross Lancang river, pass over the highest pass- Dongda which is 5008m. Overnight at Dzogong.

Day 05: Dzogong-Pasho

Drive from Dzogong to Pasho via pomba pasture, the landscapes are vast and sparsely inhabited but it is hard to survive its hard climate. Overnight at Pasho

Day 06: Pasho-Pomi

Today drive from Pashu to Pomi, en route visit Ranwu lake, which is surrounded by glaciers and snow mountains. Thawed snow makes the body, the water appears different colors in different seasons, from aquamarine to turquoise. After Rawu town, go ahead to Pomi, you will enter the most beautiful part of this tour, the landscapes along the road varies from snow mountains, glacier to lakes and pasture. Overnight at Pomi

Day 07: Pomi-Lulang-Bayi

Drive from Pomi to Bayi via Pailong & Lulang, pass by the gorgeous alpine valleys lined with rhododendron bushes, cross over the Serkhym-la where you will have a chance to view the grand peak of Mt.Namche Barwa(7756m) after that you can visit the Bayi Cypresses park.  Overnight at Bayi

Day 08: Bayi-Draksum lake-Lhasa

Morning along the beautiful Niyang River drive to Draksumtso(Basumtso).  The lake and its surrounding views are beautiful and the site is also connected to the semi-mythical ruler of the Kham region and Guru Rinpoche.The joint board floating bridge is the only way to the Tsodzong island and visit the Tsodzong Monatery amid of the trees, most probably the highest attraction of this site. Then keep driving along the Niyang River, cross over Min-la pass(5100m) to Lhasa. Overnight at Lhasa

Day 09: Lhasa-Jokhang temple-Barkhore square-explore the old city site. 

Morning visit the Jokhang temple is the most sacred temple in Tibet . In Tibetan language it refers to “Buddha’s house” because the main statue is said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni himself time. The Jokhang temple is the convergence of Tibet’s spiritual and secular life. Here you can meet all kinds of tribes from the Tibetan plateau. The surrounding market is called “Bakhore”. One of the most important religious paths.  Evening explore city by your self

Day 10: Lhasa-Ramoche temple-Sera monastery

Morning visit the Ramoche temple is considered to be the sister temple to the Jokhang  which was completed about the same time. Tradition says that it was built originally to house the much revered Jowo Rinpoche statue, carried to Lhasa via Lhagang in a wooden cart, brought to Tibet when Princess Wencheng came to Lhasa.  Afternoon visit the Sera monastery: All the Gelugpa monasteries history is strongly connected to Master Lama Tsongkhapa (1357–1419), the founder of the Gelugpa order, the much venerated and highly learned guru in Buddhist scriptures. The Sera Monastery at the foot of Sera Uste  Hill is located 2 kilometers northern of Lhasa. It is one of the “great three” Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet

Day 11: Lhasa-Potala palace- Norbulingka summer palace

Morning visit the Potala palace towers above the city of Lhasa as the national landmark that allures the international visitors. The massive 13-storeyed building used to be the former abode for the Dalai lamas. It looks incredibly magnificent from a distance and could be viewed from various places around town. As the nation’s supreme relic, the palace dates back to the seventh century A.D.  Afternoon visit the Norbulingka summer palace the former summer palace of Dalai Lamas  built in during the 18th century by seven Dalai lama.  Explore the beautiful gardens and experience one of the most holy sites in Tibetan Buddhism while soaking up the rich history

Day 12: Depart Lhasa

Your guide and driver will see you off at the airport or train station, end of the trip.

9 Days -Lhasa-Bayi-Tsedang-Samye monastery

Day 01: Arrive at Lhasa

Arrival at train station or airport in Lhasa, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to hotel for acclimatization; you can have your free time hanging out at this holy city to get the first impression of Tibet. (Overnight night in Lhasa)

Day 05: Lhasa-Draksum lake -Bayi

After breakfast, drive from Lhasa to Bayi, cross over Mila Pass(5100m), enjoy the scenery along the Niyang River. Afternoon visit Draksum Tso, also known as Basum-Tso. The holy lake is beautified by its surrounding landscapes from green & forested mountains to snow capped peaks and the site is also connected to the semi-mythical ruler of the Kham region and Guru Rinpoche. The joint board floating bridge is the only way to the Tsodzong island and visit the Tsodzong Monatery amid of the trees, most probably the highest attraction of this site. Then retrace the way to the Highway that joins at Pahe village and continuous drive 79km further to Bayi.

Day 06: Bayi-Nang town-Gyatsa

Drive through Nang county to Gyatsa, en route visit an ancient Nyima Monastery Lama Ling, that lies only 34km south of Bayi and 6km off from the main road. Then drive following the bank of Yarlung Tsangbo River, the forest along the road gets thinner when you drive toward Gyatsa. Overnight at Gyatsa.

Day 07: Gyatsa-Tsedang

Today the road is in a worse condition, the twisted and dusty road climb the Podang la(5030m), the paved road will meet at the foot side of the hill. The ancient capital Tsedang is beautifully situated in the fertile Yarlung valley, this valley is the so said cradle of Tibetan civilization, in Tsedang, you will visit the 1st ever Palace Yambulakhang and Tradruk Temple. Overnight at Tsedang.

Day 08: Tsedang-Samye monastery

Today’s visit is to Samye Monastery which is the first Buddhism monastery in Tibet built in the 8th century, the main temple comprises three different styles of Tibetan, Hans and India, fantastic views of Yarlung Tsangpo river can be enjoyed all along the road. Overnight at Samye monastery hotel.

Day 09: Samye monastery -Gonggar airport and end the Tibet part tour

Morning drive to Lhasa on the way you can see lots of sand domes and fantastic views of Yarlung Tsangpo river can be enjoyed all along the road. Our guide and driver will transfer you to the Lhasa airport or train station and depart Lhasa
