On the contrary, Lobsang, the guide, is absolutely superb and does everything to make the most of your trip to Tibet. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and speaks good English. Also he has good connections in the travel industry, which can be helpfull. In Tibet its very important to have a good guide, it can make or break your trip. Its very important that he takes that extra step, and Lobsang does just that. And for a very sharp price! This office is very reccomended for daytrips in Lhasa, but also for longer trips. We travelled for 12 days with Lobsang in a small group of 3 people last November. It couldn't have been any better. Lobsang is a very caring, professional and social guide. This is combination with the fact that our trip was a nice mix of culture, sightseeing and Tibetan social life, made it a trip to really remember. We had a lot of fun, learned a lot about Tibet and about Buddhism. Also we liked the fact that the itinerary was flexible, there was space for personal preferences and enough time to fully enjoy everything, which made it a special tour and in our opinion different from the other, regular tours. How to Get Into Tibet?
There are daily flights connecting Tibet from all the major cities of mainland China. We personally recommend coming to Tibet by train. Most tourists experience Altitude sickness to varying degrees. Train ride is believed to have excellent effect in easing altitude complications. You may also choose overland tour from Nepal through Kyirong border in Tibet, Chengdu to Lhasa and Golmud or Xining to Lhasa. International flights to Tibet is also available from Nepal.
